It’s okay to raise taxes on the middle class, but it’s not okay to raise taxes on the wealthiest of Americans?
The hypocrisy is breath-taking.
Its especially annoying viewed through an economic perspective. The demand of the middle class creates economic growth, not the trickle down from the wealthy.
It’s amazing to watch some of these politicians fight tooth and nail to prevent taxes from being raised. But when the tax at issue does not affect a ‘special interest’, then the anti-tax slogan is put away very quickly.

The tension within US politics is easing. This is one of a few articles I have seen highlighting this.

Did someone (ie politicians) forget to tell the German people that their unemployment rate is the lowest in 19 years!!! (And this performance is during 2 major financial shocks.)
If there is a country that should be filled with happy people during the current era of austerity, you would think its the country with really low unemployment.
I guess people always have to bitch about something.
